Harry Potter is worried. Lord Voldemort, his enemy, is expanding his power. With these concerns, he back with his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for their sixth year of their magical education. The headmaster, Professor Dumbledore, gives private lessons of defense to defend against Voldemort. Harry also gets a Potions book which belonged to the "Half-Blood Prince." The book gets him to be the best in his Potions class, a subject that he used to hate, but now is getting much praise for his work from Potions Master Horace Slughorn. And this also becomes yet another reason to the long list of why the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Severus Snape, hates him. Harry also suspects that his archenemy at school since first year, Draco Malfoy, is now one of Voldemort's henchmen, a Death Eater.
Harry and Dumbledore plunch into Voldemort's past during their meetings. Harry pieces together, with Dumbledore's help, how to finally defeat the darkest wizard in the wizarding world. He must find six horcruxes, in which Voldemort has stored part of his soul, and destroy them once and for all, in order to finally suceed.
As you can probably already tell, this board is a 6th year role play, taking place during Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Pretty self-explainatory, right?

You may keep to cannon as much as you'd like, or you can make up other twists to the plot to make your role play more exciting! Whatever appeals to you, really, but keep in mind this is Harry Potter and the rest of the students in his year's sixth year.
