Date:2008 October 09 Touched by a soft tingling, alike in nature to autumns familiar caress, the sunlight warmed Snow's skin with a soft promise to return once more succeeding the purifying circle of the dawning wintertide. Surrendering to the glow, it flowed through his veins like amrita, drowning him in the simplicity of mother nature's acceptance. It occurred to him, as he soaked up the suns affirmation, that today would be a commencement of a new life. Mindlessly following the sun-tainted surface of the track that wound upon the earths surface, Snow realized this was no longer a dream. Strange happenings had surrounded him as of late. He was born within a world of myth. A world of trolls, fairies, fae, and creatures beyond ones wildest imaginings. A world of magic. A world where he felt completely alive. Though, he had been birthed of a mortal womb of a human woman. Making him that of two worlds. Feeling unwelcome by both fronts, the half elf considered himself a stranger among strangers. Ever dreaming of this day to arrive, the day in which he would have the courage to explore the other side of this rift for himself, Snow's feelings became a medley of nervousness, excitement, and anticipation. The city welcomed him on the horizon, the windows of the grandiose buildings reflecting their radiant potential. Stretching his hands outward toward the skyline, he twirled around to present an innocent smile to the damsel in his company. Breathing in the aroma of a recently passed autumn rain, Snow closed his eyes and lavished in the native embrace of the morning light. The savory scent of fallen leaves were notable, even in close proximity to the city as it were, and Snow couldn't feel any better. Without a word, the tall pale man unsheathed his violin and sat down upon the ledge, not a care in the world. He was born a loner, an alien to this ordinary world, with the only aim of obtaining freedom. Raising his bow gracefully, slowly and with care, his bow welcomed the strings of his violin. For a moment, to Snow, it felt as though time had stood still. Only the slow, practiced, rhythmic motion of his wrist remained in his mind, as his fingers moved subtly upon the strings. The notes he played circulated around him, in a breathtaking verse. Becoming one with time itself, Snow had nearly let the idea of venturing into the wild world pass him by. The notes he played heightened his emotions, freeing his mind from worries and hesitance. Effortlessly, he tucked his bow and violin away, and slid his well decorated, yet rustic case, then into his side bag. Slinging the case over his shoulder his smile faltered not as he felt relaxed by the aria that had sounded. “Shall we be off?” He inquired pleasantly. Nothing could bring him down from this freedom he had found. His eyes traced the horizon once more, marveling over the city in sight. It had been said that this city was the largest in the world, filled with hopes and dreams beyond ones apprehension. Snow wondered just how much of the rumors were true. The furthest he had been from his home within the Troll Market was beneath the bridge that protected their kin from harms way. The very bridge, in fact, that he played his violin to the moonlight on a regular basis. Tag(s): Open ;; Words: 568 ;; Notes: None

H[/font]etio stepped out, she could not help but let a growl escape her lips. Was the sun up already? damn, that put a damper on her plans for sure. She would have to go to a store to find some decent Rum or Saki to Appease her burning need. She liked the Idea of getting drunk and then leaving Eleen to deal with the hang over. It amused her greatly to do so,,she had even had access to Eleen's Diary and her entries made her laugh! She squinted her eyes as she finally got into the sun, the brightness hurt! she had forgotten she had not been in the sun for quite awhile, unlike Eleen whom has to work all the time. she climbed up on a rock my the shore of the body of water looking out on the horizon.
Hetio put her hands on her hips, going in much of a hero's pose as she smirk in satisfaction of the thought of making Eleen miserable. Though she frowned as she realized Violin music. She paused putting a finger in the air trying to conjure up the reason until she turned around. That Blasted Clumsy Male had pulled out a Violin and was.. playing!? What in the world was this nonsense? she let out a huff of unhappiness. She would only do this once s a warning if he wished to stay up in this world unharmed. She hopped down from the rock where she had posted herself and bent down. Her blonde hair slid from her back over her shoulder and now lay over her right shoulder. She kicked the sand under her feet kicking up a nice healthy clam that had buried itself to stay moist.
Hetio Bent down and grabbed the morsel from its sandy home and stared at Snow, she reared back her hand and threw that clam right at Snows face. lucky the thing was as big as an american dime otherwise it might have really hurt. "What, are you doing?" she said in a slight shout "Playing Violin out of no where? who the hell does that?" she chided her hands back on her hips. "If your going to be up here, I would advise you stick with me huh? Humans are very dominative and cruel. If your weak they will fallow throw with robbing you or beating you up" she said. Well that was not true for all humans, but it was to Hetio. Oh how she hated them! "Come on I need to get my fix" she said and began to walk forward to the city.

Dexterously, Snow caught the small clam in his hand, carefully laying it back down in the sandy refuge to where it belonged. “I was under the impression that those known as buskers, or street performers, were known for playing music within the city.” Said Snow casually. He had an appreciation for all of natures children, and made sure the clam was quite well out of harms way. Truthfully, Snow felt sorry for the poor thing. “You know.. They say that karma is a great teacher, that what goes around comes around three fold.” Tilting his head, he allowed a playful smile to show across his lips, he was quite taken by the girls fiery temper. “Are you prepared for a giant to kick you from here to kingdom come?” He inquired whimsically. “However, I will heed your words. I've heard only bad things about the humans, is there honestly no good in them? Even roses have thorns, my dear.” Puzzled, Snow raised a brow as he followed Hetio at her quick pace toward the city. After a momentary pause he finally asked plainly: “Fix? What's broken? Perhaps I can help.” He offered, not fully aware of the term. Human phrases and slang was not something he had much experience in responding to. He had assumed she had a broken bone, or maybe a possession. A fix... What an interesting concept. Wearing one of his more human outfits, Snow placed his sunglasses on the bridge of his nose. Humming happily to the brightened weather. Good weather, was in his mind, a great omen for a fantastic day. Sunshine was the kiss of nature, reassuring all of the world that there was good to be had in life. With his white checkered, button up; scarf; and slacks Snow at least felt himself. He doubted sincerely that he would at all fit in with the current style of the realm to which he had only seen on missions, this would be the first time to see it for how it really was. The beautiful landscape in the now closer distance was exciting. “Why do you loathe them so much?” He wondered aloud. The 'them' obviously being humans. There was much he wished to learn about the girl, sadly fearing that she would not allow anyone close enough to understand or learn about her. He could not disfavor her doubt in him after the way he had handled the situation with herself and Nuada, though he was convinced they were off on the wrong foot. He was of the mind he could get along with everyone. “I am honestly, very conscience-stricken by my behavior earlier. I do hope you will let bygones be bygones.” Said a concerned Snow. “And I do not believe you have yet enlightened me as to what I should call you.” He pointed out. He disliked not knowing the names of those around him. Had she all ready introduced herself, he would feel even more ashamed for not remembering her name. A bad memory was not one of the traits he was known for. Tag(s): Open ;; Words: 514 ;; Notes: None

To Hetio this kid was surely mouthy, even though he would be older in body (she still was not sure about the souls though.) his comments about karma just made her laugh loud “KARAMA!?” she could only squeak out from her laughter. “You HAVE to be kidding me, Karma has left along with the gods… if karma existed I would be dead” she said and paused to think wincing at the thought “Nnn… atleast now I hope karma is dead” she said more to herself then anything. Those countless humans she had beaten up when they thought they could take advantage of a poor drunk girl sure did add up with her negative Karma points now that she thought about it. She soon shrugged that thought away, she just wanted that drink now.
She continued to walk forward till she heard something about fixing, she turned to Snow and rose a brow, was he for real? Was he THAT clueless? “A fix means a craving, a needed craving” she said to him and just let out a short Heh, at him before stopping at a store, this was one of the smaller stores but it was open, so it would do. She had already heard his question on her hatred for mankind and sighed. Was he going to be this mouthy ALL day?
She turned to him at the entrance of the store and finally said “the past rules your present and future, so be careful how you rub people.” She said to him with a cold glare. He was still rubbing her the VERY wrong way. He was like a child out at the zoo, what’s this? What’s that!? Why didn’t the kid just study this before he came to the zoo!? She rubbed her temple before heading inside. Her fingers glided across the bottles of Alcoholic liquid trying to choose a nice but cheap one.
She picked up a bottle before turning to him for his Apology “Listen, actions speak louder then words” is all she said to him when she walked up to the counter throwing her ID down along with her bottle of Rum. “ever had one of these?” she said pointing to the drink and waited till the total cam up. “$11.50? really?” she groaned, oh well ti was a nice sized bottle as she threw down the money, “leeches” she murmuredunder her breath as she took her rum and the change from her 20 and nudged snow back out the door. “I live in New Jersey… so we have to get a hotel room” she said to him now walking back down the street, “maybe when I wake up I will show you around” she told him.

Snow chuckled pleasantly to himself, his pale eyes alive with the excitement that welled up within him. Making a mental note that the girl did not believe in things such as karma, the half elf followed obediently. While he considered them to be equals, it seemed this girl felt she owned the world above. Maybe she did. Snow was so abundant in energy that he was practically skipping, as a giddy school girl would, unable to hide his enthusiasm. “Ah, but Karma does exist. She is a great teacher, she comes when you least expect her. Still, even though a great teacher she may be, the wisest mentor of them all is life itself. But don't get carried away in the current, because none of his pupils get out alive.” Snow commented, in yet another feeble attempt to strike conversation. While she was quiet, and cold from what he had seen, he knew there was a person inside the girl. Another being with emotions and feelings, someone he actually cared to know. Perhaps it was the earth speaking to him, encouraging him to take care of the girl, but this desire to protect her had seemed undeniable. Still to early to be certain of if it was result of a bright morning, with happy colors painted in the heavens above, Snow kept his thoughts to himself. She went on to describe a 'fix' filling him in on some English slang in which he did not all ready know. He could tell she was annoyed by his lack of information, but what could he do? Grinning and bearing it, Snow stopped alongside the girl as she looked at the store. Feeling a bit flustered that he still had no name to call her by he, decided there was nothing in a name and shrugged it off, not showing her any signs that she had annoyed him. It was the action of a proper gentlemen, to move at a ladies pace, and that was just how he planned to act. The girl spoke a warning, though Snow was usually quite good with people. He was one of those charismatic, yet naive, personalities that seemed to attract people. It was a gift that had run in the family. While he considered himself average and thought nothing of it, it was not common that Snow had problems communicating, or expressing himself to others. “What do you mean?” He asked, watching the girls fingers glide over the many colored bottles of what he assumed to be the human beverage known as alcohol. He had heard of the side effects of these elixirs, and of course was curious. He knew that they were often used to celebrate, and he knew it was supposed to be poison to humans, did the same laws he'd heard of apply to elves? He was half human, so he was a hard control to test that theory. Looking at the outfits upon others in the small store, he was pleased to see he didn't seem too far out of place after all. His eyes softened drastically, when she coined the phrase 'actions speak louder than words'. It had been one of the few phrases that he was familiar with from the human world. He watched as she threw her ID down onto the table. “No, miss.” He answered politely. A hotel, the human word for inn, this could be fun. He wondered if they had live musicians, as they did within the troll market, or banquets, or fests. He looked excited, imagination running wild. “A hotel? That sounds fun! New Jersey isn't that far away is it? Would you really?” Were the answers that escaped from his mouth. Tag(s): Open ;; Words: 617 ;; Notes: None

Hetio just stared at Snow for a second and laughed "your like a kid here! I don't even know what to do with you!" she said as she walked down the street and shrugged about new jersey. "yeah but I am to lazy to go home... plus its nice to have and actual BED once in awhile, even if it does have bugs all in it." she said to him shrugging, she was growing tired as she walked inside a run down Motel. Low grade, but a place to crash when needed. She walked up to the counter where a wrinkly old man that reminded her much of a grey toad sat. it looked as if gravity had hit him hard and he was squashed into being a short fat man. He glanced up at her with dull eyes and croaked "Yes?"
"On single room" she said holding up one finger for him to understand her wishes, He stared at her a moment then to staring long and hard at him "Need the lovers suit?" he asked. Hetio Immediately scrunched up her nose at this "Oh for god sakes! no just one room... for only today" she said to him slightly angry. A small grin grew on his face as he opened his mouth to speak "Eh! if this has nothing to do about the room don;t you dare say it!"she snapped as his lips immediately met when he shut his jaw glaring before he registered the amount. She slapped her credit card down "if you charge more I will know" she said as he stared at the card before running it through and handing her the receipt to sign, a key with a number, and the card. she signed off her soul to the room for the day and then turned to Snow. "Ok, onward" she ordered.
The walls were flaking from lack of care, the paint flakes scattered along the base of the walls. It was like the building itself was tired and crying. Hetio stepped up the stairs and to room 22 pushing the key in the door and turning it to enter. the Room was a pale grey with the same lack of care. Run down paintings, a cheap sofa, side table, lamp, and bed. Hetio set her rum on the bed before walking to the old sink and grabbing some plastic cups tossing one to snow. "Make sure for no bugs" she said to him before blowing into her own cup in case of dust and walked over to the bed opening the rum and pouring herself a glass leaving it open for snow. She took as much of a swig as she could handle before shuddering "God I needed that." she said drawing the old curtains aside to look outside. "they look like the fire ants they are, come look" she said pointing to the scurrying people outside. She took another drink from her glass and let out a sigh of approval "my only good friend, Rum."

Signaling that her words failed to discourage him, Snow laid a hand on her shoulder. “If you are puzzled about where to begin with me... You can start with taking me to the city.” He teased lightly. “You don't have a bed?” Snow asked quizzically. Holding the door for the young woman, he followed her good-naturedly into the run down building with a sign that read 'MO EL'. Once at the reception desk, the young blond man leaned over the counter to face the clerk with dull eyes. “Excuse me, but do you call this establishment MOLE? You seem to either have misspelled your establishments name, or perhaps you are missing a letter.” His tone was not backed with ulterior intonation, he had meant it sincerely. ”Yes?” He said in response. Confused Snow turned to the knowing woman he had entered with. She answered with one single room, and the man asked about a lovers suite. Confused by the meaning of the word, the blond forced himself to hold his tongue as to not further embarrass Hetio. She had become fiery which seemed to amuse the old, crooked man behind the counter. 'Okay, onward!' She demanded. Whistling in discontentment, Snow led the way as an innocent puppy would lead an owner who had kicked it too many times. Snow instantly crossed to lay on the bed and stare at the writing on the ceiling, after entering room 22. “Say...” He began, “Do they always write the words 'Fuck you, mother fucker' on the ceilings, or is that just how you get welcomed in this particular inn?” He wondered, in response a plastic cup collided with his forehead. “We need to work on your people skills....” Said an amused Snow with a wink. “No bugs.” Snow declared, “Though we elves don't really drink.” He protested, eying the bottle curiously. Maybe one time wouldn't hurt, he was a tourist in the realm of man. Hetio pulled back the drapes, the outdoor light illuminating the shadows on her face. She was quite attractive, he had to admit. “Fire ants?” He asked, rising from the bed and moving to stand behind her, one arm leaning to her side to hold the window ledge. The fire ants were people, so he was able to piece together her odd way of speaking and translate it to a human slang word... So from now on, in his speech, regular passerby would be referred to as fire ants. “Would you like a new friend?” Snow offered, his pale eyes searching her face. “You really should have animate company.”Tag(s): Open ;; Words: 430 ;; Notes: None

Hetio looked up on the ceiling and laughed “that’s the only welcome you will get” she said to him snickering to herself. She also laughed slightly at the cup hitting his head, picking on him was a lot of fun, but then he spoke and frowned.
Hetio rolled her eyes, people skills? Whom needed them “trying at least once would not hurt now would it?” Hetio asked him still sipping out of her drink as he came to the window to peer out to the people outside scattering around to start their busy day like the drones they were. She had zoned anything that Snow might say out till he spoke about her having a friend.
“Friends just get in the way so… not thank you” she said to him picking up her bottle once more of liquor and filling her glass again. “Just drink” she said to him now sitting down on the bed. She would just need to get drunk enough to deal with this spritely child like fae.

Flirting with her eyes, he expressed a quick wink. “I have another welcoming in mind.” His eyes wandered over her, still crushing more than he would like to admit. His mind going back to the troll market, and the prince, and hoping that he would not find out of his interest in a human. While he all ready knew about Snow's desire to see the human world, it was not expected for him to become attached to it. He was unamused, though content with her amusement upon being hit in the face. “I suppose not.” Snow answered, examining the plastic cup one last time for bugs. “We really aren't supposed to have much of this, is it safe? What kind of effects does it have?” Several questions came to mind as he finally agreed to taste this strange liquid that was rumored to fill the soul with warmth. “Friends are vital. If you have no friends you have nothing. No one you can trust...” He explained quietly though somewhat defeated. “Who will look out for you, if you don't let them in? Who will ...” The hard words just drink came from her moist lips. Sighing he took a drink of the fragrant fluid, maybe... Just maybe, she'd come around. Tag(s): Open ;; Words: 209 ;; Notes: None

As he took the liquid she smiled, she just wanted this guy to get drunk and pass out so she could safely leave him here in the room. She wanted to go out and party after she rested a bit, she put her now empty glass again down, she would probably drink more later but now she wanted to lay down. She let the warm feeling that the alcohol left take over her slender build, her eyes closed. After this Elf had a little more to drink Hetio will add more into her cup and drink that. She was sure the first timer will be out sooner then she would become impatient.
She stretched on the bed settling on it, her body still tired but was careful not to sleep for then Eleen would take over and Hetio would struggle to gain the body back. She let out a hum as she felt her body rejoice with the soft bed under itself. “I doubt I ever told you, I might have… but I do not know…. I am Hetio” she told him now opening her red eyes to face him. “I am surprised you decided to follow me up here, I doubt your Princey will be happy about this.”

She watched him expectantly, as he scrunched his nose by the potency of the amber fluid streaming into his plastic cup. Surprised that she laid beside him, he rolled onto his side, using his elbow to support his body, careful to keep his shoes off of the hideous floral comforter. He chuckled softly again as he recalled the letters over the bed. “Tell me. Are all humans so inappropriate in their choice of words?” He had been wondering this since they had walked to the surface. Unsure of how the world worked above, he had a slew of questions he was dying to ask, though the girl seemed impatient when it came to being asked questions, so he had started spreading them out. “Bottoms up...” He said unenthusiastically. Plugging his nose and tilting the plastic cup toward his face, practically spitting out the first sip. “That is much much stronger than anything I've had before.” He took a big gulp quickly, not letting it sit on his tongue long enough to taste it, embarrassed about his first attempt. “Maybe the taste is why we don't drink this.” He said eying the bottle fascinated. “What's in this stuff?”His eyes moved from the dirty room, to the bottle, to the litter on the corner of the floor, and then finally rested upon the blonde woman laying beside him. She looked comfortable, which he admired for a minute or so, before she spoke up. ”I doubt I ever told you, I might have... but I do not know... I am Hetio.”“Hetio...” He repeated. What an unusual name, it sounded other worldly, which of course was fitting for her. Before he had an opportunity to marvel, she opened his eyes, as she always did, to reality. ”I am surprised you decided to follow me up here, I doubt your Princey will be happy about this.”His eyes narrowed and for a moment he felt shame. “I know he won't be. But I am half human, and this world... This world that he hates so much is still mine.” He stated hoping Hetio would understand his side of the story. “I ... I need to see it for myself... And I... I think I...” He eyed her shyly then turned away. “Nevermind... Is .. Is it getting hot to you?”Tag(s): Open ;; Words: 387 ;; Notes: None

Hetio had turned to him at his wording on human Appropriateness, why did she keep forgetting about his cluelessness of the humans around here. “I suppose I get just as bad” she admitted closing her eyes still to relax she was getting so tired it made her feel sick. she could not help but chuckle at his reaction to the strong liquid. “Its Alcohol, it will always be strong on the first take, keep drinking it and maybe it won’t be so strong you little whimp” she joked slightly. It was also a way to coarse him into drinking more, more he drank the faster his lights would go out to rest. Why was she in such a hurry? “On second thought why don’t you wait till tonight” she said to him, since she would not be able to do something for awhile. He repeated her name and began to ramble after her sentence about his prince; she turned her head to face the Pale skinned half fae studying him. So he was part human? And he what, wanted to get in touch with his roots? “Its not even that hot in Here…” she said to him getting up from the bed. “if you want take off the shirt your wearing and stand by the window,” Hetio let her hair down now “Take a shower, I am taking a nap…” she said to him sliding off her jeans to reveal her boy shorts underwear and lifted the covers of the bed. It did not matter if people saw her in her underwear; she slid into the bed and shifted on her side letting her head rest on the pillow drifting off.

Snow kept his eyes trained on Hetio as she turned to him, prepared to address his question. Through her annoyance, which wasn't exactly hidden behind a poker face, Snow admired her natural glow. She admitted that she sometimes got as bad, but he wondered why one would chose such a path. A path he considered experimenting going down as long as she was with him. The sound of her chuckle informed Snow that humans actually enjoyed the taste of this bile.
She explained to him a little about the substance, how it was strong, and ... "I am not a wimp!" He declared, taking the bottle and swigging directly from it to try to impress her. The more he drank and the faster, the hotter it got. Was this normal? His blue eyes trained on the girl as he continued to try to down the bottle. Pulling the bottle from his lips once to gasp for air, trying desperately to ignore the horrible taste it left in his mouth as he forced more of the liquid into his system. Dizziness, coupled with the feeling of being light headed, was not a feeling the half elf was enjoying.
"It's not even hot in here..."
"Do I have a fever?" He asked, his attention drawn to the golden locks cascading gracefully over the girls shoulder as it was released from its binds. "A shower. That sounds good. Care to.. A nap? That sounds good too..." He attempted to take a few steps in the direction of the shower, tugging his shirt over his head before staggering to his doom nightstand to catch his balance. "The floors a bit slippy!" He announced, glancing at the girl again before reaching the shower.
Five minutes. Ten minutes. Fifteen minutes passed. The steam had been refreshing, and Snow was now dry, and pulling on his slacks after a much needed shower. Unfortunately the dizziness hadn't warn off and now his words were slurring, as they had begun to during his singing performance beneath the gusts of water. Entering the bedroom something didn't seem quite right, leaving him standing in the center of the room staring at the spinning walls. "Hetio?" He asked. "Do all the hotels spin?" The room began to get darker, and the floor seemed as though it was getting closer as well. Thud.

Hetio was fast asleep long before Snow cam out of the bathroom from his shower, the pale blonde sleeping soundly in the ratty bed. From this slumber Hetio Faded away As Eleen came back into the control of the body. though the body still rested until there was a loud THUD. She jumped up looking around frantically. "OH GOD!" Eleen squeaked "where.. what? where has Hetio brought me n-" she stopped her brown eyes landing on the drunken mess on the floor.
"Holy... who are you!?" Eleen said staring at him eyes wide noticing he was wet "We.. Hetio didn't.. we did not like... Do it did we!? OH GOD! this is a NEW low even for her!" Eleen was obviously confused and frantic.

Hetio was acting strangely, and the dizzy, confused Snow was in no position to move his weight off the floor. The alcohol had taken a strange turn for the worse as his body was hot, the room was spinning, and he was nauseates. He watched briefly as a pair of familiar feet came to a halt nearby, and Hetio spoke again.
”Holy... Who are you!?”
He tried to answer, face squashed against the carpet. “I'm Snowgh Moldohvan.” He sounded trying to force his weight so his face wasn't against the floor. “Half Elf from Elfland, but we liff in the Troll Market, remember? Please don't joke around like that.” Feeling more sick, and using most his strength, Snow rolled to his back, his ice blue eyes meeting her should-be red eyes. “Didju get contacts?” He asked stupidly.
”We did not like... Do it did we?”
“Do..It?” He asked, the girl was panicking, why? He hadn't done anything wrong had he? The room was spinning, along with the writing on the ceiling. Grabbing the dresser nearby the poisoned half elf drug himself up to a sitting position using what little strength he had left. “What is it we're supposed to 'av done?” He put aside his own health trying to calm the girl. Clearly something was not right.
