I know this may not seem like a big deal, or maybe it's just the whole "everyone has one" that makes people not want to use it. Either way, I just thought I'd bring it up. A Twitter Feed might be very beneficial for posting updates in the table at the top of the forum, and it would be easier to add to it, just logging in and typing your announcement. Players can also follow the feed if they wish.
One reason I thought this would be helpful, aside from following, is that, since you're doing a revamp, updating the feed every day or few days would let prospective members (and current members) that the site is still up and running and that there is currently a real attempt to revive the place.
