All right, ummmmm. I fail at these things. So, ten things you might not have known about me, seems to be the trend.

1) I am a site making /graphic making whore. Seriously. I love making skins and fighting with code and then get about a few steps into the actual framework like rules and whatever and fizzle out or get bored....

There were a few others but I ended up over writing them to test out skins for other sites that asked me for one...


2) I am a rpg character whore. Really.

I play /admin on a Harry Potter site (new skin made by me, see #1), where I play Celine, Lucius, Jillian, Naya and Quentin.

I play on a X-Men site where I play Wolfsbane and will be apping for Daken soon.

I just joined a Supernatural site where I play Perdita.

I play on a Firefly site where I play Vivienne, Krysta, Isis and Tyr.

I will be playing / adminning on a revamp of a twilight site where I'll have Rachel, Sam, Hunter and Maia...

And there's still a few concepts for here that I intend on getting around to eventually.... I love rp'ing, and have too many ideas for one brain.

3) I am a mom. Izzy (Isabella Katherine) is about to be four in August, and is my only girl and the youngest of my brood. She is the love of my life and the reason I am usually exhausted / stressed, but... I love her anyways.

4) I am going to college off and on to become a secondary level English and Literature teacher with goals to eventually teach at a college level.

5) I never get enough sleep.

6) I watch ... all kinds of shows. Star Trek of all kind reruns, Pretty Little Liars, Breaking Bad, True Blood, Vampire Diaries, Nikita, Justified, White Collar, Bones, Fringe, the Glades, Law and Orders, United States of Tara, the Borgias, Stargate Universe (SOOO cranky at how they ended it) and Doctor Who are the ones that come to mind at this immediate moment. Oh, Weeds, and Misfits... I know there's more.

7) I live with my bf, our daughter, his ex-wife and their ten year old son at his parent's house (yay crappy economy / job environment) and a ferret, a chinchilla and three cats. Though the ex-wife and kid are moving out in a week or two finallllllly.

8) Everything tastes better with cheese.

9) I've been married and engaged and don't plan to be either ever again.

10) Frogs are my favorite animal. (I even have a tattoo of one on my shoulder).


So, there's that... I'm 29 years old, I live in Florida and am a mom of three + a stepson. Grammar and spelling errors make me twitch, though I'm tons better than I used to be about it. I post fairly quickly, at least I like to think I do? Barring real life dramas anyway... and my posts go between five hundred to a thousand words usually, though I try to temper it to go with whom I am writing to.

I play Liz here (obviously) and have a few other ideas that I just haven't had the time to work on lately. The b/f has been dealing with a lot of dental work the last month or two so I haven't had much help with anything around the house so... been worn out / creativity has kind of petered but he had his last appointment this last week so that should change soon.

Anyways, that's me.

Hello Mandy! Welcome to Sound of Silence (Again, if not a bit late)...

1. Serenity is amazing. I often get told I look like Wash :/ And for the longest time I didn't know what Serenity was. I'm not very fussed on Twilight, though admittedly I tend to play a convincing Carlisle on forums when I'm bored enough to do so. Vampire Chronicles = Love. I am a huge fan of Louis and Armand, and Anne Rice captured what I feel should be the real meaning of the word vampire. Props for being a fellow fan!

2. LOL! Well as long as the term is loosely used I think you're safe. All of your character profiles that I have seen thus far have been incredibly written and very well detailed. You clearly have a hand at this sort of thing!

3. I'd like to be a father, but I haven't found the right woman yet I suppose. Or maybe I found her and I'm simply not mature enough, yet. Be that as it may, children may be the cause for stress and exhaustion, but they are still a blessing (even if sometimes it's in disguise). Isabella Katherine is a really pretty name.

4. Teaching college sounds like a brilliant career path, and I can't rightly (nor would I desire to) knock it. Are you aiming more for classical literature or for modern literature?

5. Amen to that! I'm in that boat with you.

6. Star Trek is love, Laura got me hooked on anything JJ Abrams created. I haven't seen the majority of the shows you listed, and you can't pay me to watch Vampire Diaries. True Blood, Fringe, Bones, & Doctor Who is amazing.

7. What is a chinchilla? (Google Image searches). A few minutes later: OH THEY ARE CUTE. I would never live with my currents ex. That's just awkward at its finest. Kudos for living through it. You should get a T-Shirt: "I survived living with my bf's ex wife".

8. I disagree, cheese creeps me out!

9. Don't say that! There is someone out there for everybody =)

10. You have a tattoo? Ouchies, we know where the courage is on this board. */Winks/ Frogs are awesome, and I can't say anything against them. My favorite animal is a Chipmunk.


Im not sure I understand your list thing that you added, and I really like your character trailer. Be sure to show us the final edit of it =D

Snow ; Nice to meet you again! (ish).

1) Anything Whedon = <3. Wash dying = like... ultimate sin.... Ever. I have played Carlisle before, though my favorite to play is Alice. She's just so... vivacious. I have a Vampire Chronicles site that I started but only got about a 1/3 of the way through of the boards before I got distracted... (It happens a lot) and I agree. Rice's writing leaves some things to be desired at certain times, but the entirety of the world that she created was absolutely amazing, and vibrant and seductive and dark and just.... delicious.

2) Hahaa. The bf might not consider it 'loosely' descriptive. The list that I posted after my get to know me was a listing of my sites; characters; their threads. >.>

3) I have three kids, and a stepson. stepson is 10, my boys are 9 and 8. They live with their father. Long story. He's a self righteous son of a bitch and some day he'll get what he's owed. Yay karma. Ermmmm. Isabella was the bf's pick, Katherine is my middle name and my great grandmother's first, so I wanted to continue the tradition of passing it down. My great grandmother was from Sweden, it was originally Katarina, changed to Katherine when she arrived in the US.

4) Ideally, I would love to teach classic literature. I read a lot of modern works but I think if we don't instill a passion for the classics in the next generation then they won't pass it on, and it would be a shame for all the literature that came before us to be forgotten about. And besides, a semester teaching Poe and Lovecraft and Byron and Shelley and Vernes all jumbled together? The project / essay topic ideas are endless.....(*coughs* also a bit of a steampunk / horror genre fan if you hadn't noticed)

5) WE CAN SLEEP WHEN WE'RE DEAD!!!!! ......... Someone got Izzy a sleeper when she was a baby that said 'sleep is for the week. next week.'

6) I watch a lot of everything... I do a lot of piratebay-ing and tvtorrents-ing at night cause the tv is usually taken up by kids shows during the day, so if I want to watch something it's usually on the laptop. So I have a lot of movies, shows that I cycle through. When I have the time. I usually end up watching a show from start to finish, like all the seasons. Which is occasionally why I drop off the face of the earth, rp wise, but I try not to let that happen too often. p.s. the sarah connor terminator chronicles are supposed to be starting up again soon. /dies.

7) I want that t-shirt. Someone should make me that t-shirt. It hasn't been easy, that's for sure, but you do what you have to do to make sure your family is taken care of.

8) *resists the urge to posts pictures of cheese covered things*

9) I am in a committed relationship now, with the bf , the father of Izzy... I just don't ever see me getting married again. A piece of paper doesn't change anything. Either you are in love / committed / want to be together, or you aren't. Okay, so maybe I'm a little jaded too...

10) I have a tattoo of a frog on my shoulder and a rose over my heart. *looks to see if I have pictures somewhere*


I am glad you like the trailer, it's my first one so I'm kinda nervous about it. It's almost finished now, I have about thirty seconds left to finish syncing up at the end so between that and posts and finishing a skin I might have it up in a day or three.

3) I am jealous - I miscarried a year or so ago, and I think children are the worlds greatest blessing. Unfortunately they now say I am unable to carry full term. I WILL PROVE THEM WRONG.
