Dem bones, dem bones, gonna walk aroun' all day!
I felt that it was about time I formally introduced myself. You already know me as Bones, for those of you who don't: Hi, I'm Bones! It's quite clearly not my real name, but it serves a number of purposes so we're gonna keep rolling with it because you caught me at a time between snazzy user names. I usually say I'm not very good at these things but then they turn out to be about four times as long as I planned them to be so I'm not gonna bother. Feel free to read on our turn back now.
I'm a 20 year old girl and I live in glorious cold, rainy and windy Scotland in the UK. It's kinda nice here but a bit boring, but everyone says that so its no big deal. I'm a student, a leech...leeching off society while I study a for a degree that there are no jobs in at the end of it. I'm at university, somehow I managed to make it into my fourth year without getting kicked off the course (because you need about 70% average each year or they kick you off). I actually only found out yesterday that I got through to fourth year so I am incredibly happy . I'm studying Forensic Anthropology, yay! First reason for the name Bones. I like bones, I study bones. I should be able to tell you lots of things about bones. I can also tell you things about general gross anatomy and dead bodies because I spent the last year cutting them up for class. Go back for fourth year after the summer and hopefully come out with a degree so I can put fancy letters after my name. If you dont know what forensic anthropology is, it's basically the study of bones which can tell you how old they were when they dead, what gender they are, ethnicity and stature and all sorts of cool stuff. I usually just say 'Do you watch Bones?' and if they say yes, I say 'Well, I basically do what the chick from Bones does...in real life '. So bascially, I'll be real active til September and when I go back to Uni, I'm gonna die from all the hard work so I'll be real slow then. Just a heads up.
By week days I am a student apart from the 4 months of summer when I'm on holiday, by weekends I work as a parachute packer for a local skydiving centre. Yep, I pack tandem parachutes for victims paying customers to be thrown out of aeroplanes with. It's pretty cool, but really weather dependent which is a bit sucky because Scotland's weather is always miserable. But it's quite good money and the banters great there. I can pack several types of parachute and have a certificate to prove it. I haven't skydived myself yet, I was meant to have a jump last weekend but it was too windy to jump, so hopefully soon.
Uhm...what else? I've been roleplaying for about 10 years now (and I'm still not very good!). I've roleplayed hundreds of genres over the years. I started with wolf and have pretty much constantly done wolf rps, but I'll pretty much give anything a go. Dark fantasy stuff is my favourite I guess, which was how I came across here from some directory I cant quite recall. Since I've gotten older, I really can't handle more than one rp site....which sucks really because right now I'm on three (a cats vs dogs site and a pokemon site). I look forward to roleplaying with you all though
Other than that, I guess I don't do very much. I have a dog who I love. She's really stupid but it just makes her more loveable. Same goes for my boyfriend. I like to read, though I never seem to have the time. Mainly fantasy, some crime and horror stuff and all the classics. I enjoy gaming and I've owned pretty much every console that has been out since I was born. Dreamcast was my favourite. I mainly play on XBOX360 now. You can add me on live if you've got it (Kiisame is my tag). I'm an RPG sort of gal - Fable series, Dragonage series, Fallout. That sort of stuff. I dont play on the computer cause I got a netbook and it cant run any games. And I enjoy watching stuff. But I pretty much need to download it all because it takes ages to air in Britain from the US. It's mainly police procedurals I'll watch, you'll see the theme. I like CSI, CSI NY, CSI MIAMI but not so much, NCIS, Castle, The Mentalist, Psych, White Collar (Matt Bomer oh baby! <3) Chuck, Nikita, The Big Bang Theory, Supernatural (Dean & Cas please! lovelove) Criminal Minds, The Walking Dead, Bones (<- another reason for the username Bones.), Doctor Who <3, Merlin, Mythbusters, Raising Hope...and lots of other stuff but I can't be bothered typing it and I bet you can't be bothered reading it just as much. A lot of my lecturers have been on tv and I love watching their series and pointing out that I know those people and they've taught me. (History Cold Case on the BBC anyone who may happen to be in the UK. Sue Black = Amazing).
I'm running out of stuff because I really am quite boring. I have an incurable skin disease and the left side of my jaw has deteriorated so its not the same shape as my right. I have TMJ syndrome in it, I've had surgery to try and ease it but basically it can't be fixed and I'll get arthritis in it in the next 10 years or so (its not so nice to be 20 and being old you're gonna get arthritis x.x). My medical records are like 'War and Peace'. That big.
This has already turned out bigger than I planned, so I'm gonna stop it here. Feel free to ask any questions. I'll answer pretty much anything. I hope you enjoyed your whirlwind tour of me. Thank you for keeping your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times during the ride.
love, Bones xx

Unhealthily obsessed!

Hey Bones! I see a lot to reply to here =D Welcome to Sound of Silence. I'm Snow, you're seemingly invisible admin. But as invisible as I am, I am also a fellow fan of fantasy, crime, horror, and classics. (YAY GAMERS!) I have a XBOX360 too, but no LIVE yet. Our house is cheap and we end up trying to bash each others faces in more than we worry about LIVE, but when we get it I'll be sure to add you. RPG's are the best, and I personally must say that aside from the 360, PS2 is really well crafted for RPGs. I could list a million of them but we'd be getting off track. */Winks/
I adore your taste in television. CSI is excellent, but I love Gibbs in NCIS. Castle I haven't yet seen but I've only heard good reviews about it. The Mentalist is amazing, and I cannot get enough! Psych is another I haven't heard of... White Collar Chuck I've not seen, nor with Nikita. The Big Bang Theory is my ultimate favorite. Supernatural I've not had a chance to watch because thats the night Laura watches FRINGE at the same time on the house television, and its the only night she claims it. Criminal Minds has a tendency to make me cry. The Walking Dead I've not heard of. & I can sum it all up with (Bones, Doctor Who, Merlin, Mythbusters, & Raising Hope) are all EPIC WIN.
If you ever need a thread buddy on board and see me around, by all means feel free to ask =D
