Although he was trained to fight an attack was better don't give chance to someone with bad intentions to get too close . It was already late night and the streetlights lit up the alleys, while walked the woman had her head down too much thoughtful for think about was really too late for stay in a place like that. The blue eyes looked occasionally at the yellow leaves fall from the branches above her, she liked so much the park. The days spent in the laboratory or in the infirmary made her feel like in a cage and the few times she could leave the Boureau undisturbed took advantage of it without thinking twice. Stopping in front of a bench illuminated by a yellow-orange light of the many streetlamp , she decided that a brief stop to enjoy of the silence and of the landscape could not be a bad idea. Sitting rummaged in her bag looking for her notebook and from the long and soft brown hair pulled out the pencil she used as a hair slide. With the look too busy to draw an owl perched on a branch did not notice that wasn't alone in that place and that the slight rustle of leaves was not due to the wind. Somebody was there. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The suns absence signaled the prince it was now time. The night was as clear as any city night could be, as the half moon illuminated the skies. The city was littered with streetlights, which contributed to the difficulty to sight the stars that were slowly appearing one after another. He had been watching, from a distance, curious about the woman who had just entered the park. The prince was no idiot, and he intended to know more about this Desmond character, who he had suspicions of. He had heard the stories of Bethmora, which meant one of two things, one reason he had all ready ruled out. One, he was not a human. Two, he worked for the Bureau. Nuada believed it to be of the later, which could raise problems.
Dressed in all black, he blended in with the surrounding darkness as he watched the girl rummaging through her bag. He was aware of her sudden alertness and frowned. Was she really as strange as Desmond? What was going on with these humans? Arching a brow, the prince stepped out under the lighting of a nearby street lamp, standing in the light briefly before advancing toward her.
He smiled a fake smile, that could fool the king himself and extended a hand. “Hi. I'm a friend of Desmonds, he told me I might find you here. They call me Nuada.” He deceived. Deception was a game to him at this point, while he would not bring harm to this girl, he intended to make himself aware of any possible contender in the future. Contenders such as the B.P.R.D., he would always be a few steps ahead of them and their pet demon. Though he had never encountered the demon himself, they tried so hard to shield the world of him, regardless of how many headlines and tabloids he had made. He said nothing further, while he waited to see her reaction. After all, he had to be convincing while conducting this endeavor, or risk everything.

T H A T - Y O U R - S T R E N G H T - L I E S - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - With the look of the pale blue eyes on the sheet was so focused to draw fine lines on it , the image suddently appeared in her mind caught her by surprise. Again those powers ...those she hated almost like a curse but her mind showed her something like a quick flash of someone's face, a shadow approaching, gold-colored eyes ... When blinked her mind was already alerted as well as her senses, stood still pretending to be focused on the sheet when her big and blue eyes turned to look into a dark corner where shortly later, as predicted, a shadow appeared and a voice spoke. Although it was smooth sensed it was void of any sense of warmth in each word in spite it seemed an attempt to show totally the opposite. Once the shadow came over the light a postlamp met a noble but cold look, it was a man . Saw his pale and white skin meanwhile his handsome features made her stir for a bit. "Desmond?"hearing the name her brother made her back from her thoughts and got up politely . Stepped a bit more closely , meanwhile her hand held his one wondered if it was the truth. She had never seen a man like him before .... After a moment of uncertainty she tried to smile softly having no intention to appear rude in front of his kindness. Desmond never spoke of his friends after all ... but even of his enemies. Nadia was anyway too enchanded from the so oddly bewitching appearance of the man to think with attention. With shy curiosity painted on the face her eyes fell on the thin line that ran across his thin pale cheeks and over the bridge of his nose and on the incredibily golden eyes inspite like rimmed in dark-colored shadows. Who ...was this man ? "I'm sorry I had no intentions to seem rude" looking down and trying to seem at ease smiling exquisitely "I had no idea that someone was looking for me , I'm Nadia. What I can do for you ?" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The sighting of pale blue eyes provided the first signal that he had been noticed. The girl seemed edgy, perhaps his presence had her on guard before she had seen him. No sense in questioning it now, something wasn't acceptable, and he would figure out what it was that was 'off' as humans would state. Quietly he made his way forward, no longer trying to conceal his presence.
The woman, presumably Nadia Alucard, seemed wrapped up on the item in front of her, but her muscles deceived her. She was paying attention, the rigidness of her posture blowing her cover. A small menacing smirk played at the corners of his mouth. He remained quiet, if only for a moment. It was as though any words he had stated had escaped her. He had a notion he was the first non-human she'd laid eyes on.
He held a casual-to-humans physique, fighting every trained limb in his body not to take a proper stance. He was annoyed, but quite accustomed to the eyes that traced the line over his cheeks. He stood still while the girl studied him, not wanting to alarm her. If this plan was to work, he would need her trust, and this... Desmond sparked a nerve, something that the prince could not quite identify. He would find it, this cause for the unsettling connection he had with this moral man. He would make it end. The company of humans among the Bethmoora Clan was preposterous.
The girl had been hesitant, but after a short silence she apologized for rudeness. Playing the charismatic human, he chose words he usually would not have spoken. “Don't apologize. I would actually like to ask a few questions if I may. I'm a little worried about Desmond.” He stated, trying to wear a concerned face. Deception was one of those things that came naturally when he needed it. “He's been seeming really... down lately.” He chose his words carefully, mimicking the speaking patterns he had heard in casual environments. “I think something happened at work, or maybe in his home life... I'm just concerned, do you know anything about what would have him so stressed out?” In his experience, it wasn't in mans nature to beat around the bush, she would get suspicious if he didn't get to the point.

For how much Nadia tried just can not remember if Desmond had ever spoken to someone like him, but she could not help to look intently at. Had always been forbidden to her to approach any type of creature that does not belonged to the BPRD staff .
Now that was happening did not know how to behave, whether to leave or not to listen the rules for once .... and then said he was a friend of Desmond. He looked at his golden eyes and frowned when suddenly had the strange perception of the skin of his hand as a bit cold. "Down?..." She repeated with a veil of confusion and then smiled "My brother is not the type to reveal his temper easily, so down is one of his routine and complicate states of mind but probably not the real one" blinking softly but when saw his oddly handsome pale face showing concern Nadia began to do so as well. She could feel his brother's mind, talk to him if she wanted but if Desmond was going to know that was speaking with a stranger, friend or not, would rage in such a unbearable way and Nadia preferred to think about on a plausible reason.
"The only thing is that recently the boureau is undergoing a drastic change of staff and recently my brother has applied to be an undercover agent at a strange charity auction ... blackwood's ... something, but did not tell me why , I know that our leaders have not understood the reason for this sudden demand "said but looked carefully at Nuada and inevitably her forehead frowned again" You are very kind to worry about him anyway .... Usually Desmond doesn't let me talk with.. " it was pathetic to say strangers, was not a child and it was embarrassing to look like that in front of a man, looked down and shook her slightly head "Do you think is in danger because of this matter to the undercover agent at Blackwood's auction?" another rustle of wind blew through her dark mooth hair .

Nuada watched the girls eyes intently as they seemed to recall lost information, perhaps information about her brother Desmond. She seemed to be polite, much like her brother had been, toward non humans, leading him to believe that she had either been sheltered or was an agent of the BPRD. More information he intended to find out. Time to gamble.
The girl spoke again, confusion lacing her question. Her confused expression had lifted nearly as quickly as it came, being replaced with a smile. She took a moment to explain that her brother was not the kind to express himself, so their meeting must have also classified as a rare encounter. Further curious, Nuada watched the concern that the girl exhibited. Reading into her reaction, Nuada gauged that the pair were closer than he had first anticipated.
The girl answered his question after a lack of prying, much to Nuada's satisfaction. She mentioned the bureau, surely his mind had drawn him to the right conclusion. They were agents of the BPRD. Then she mentioned an auction. Raising a brow Nuada took a real interest. "Do you know if they are auctioning something historical? Perhaps under the name of Bethmoora?" He prompted delicately. He did not wish to reveal his true nature, though if they were auctioning the crown piece, he would need to beat the BPRD to the location and perhaps leave a little 'thank-you' gift in an exchange for such valuable information. "Blackwoods can be very dangerous." Nuada said gently, trying to earn her 'trust'. "It is just an auction house, but I have heard rumors that this auction might be less safe.
Deciding it was time to gamble a bit with the truth Nuada pressed on. "Desmond seemed to believe that someone, somewhere had the plan in mind to attack the auction house to obtain an item that is very valuable. It belongs to a lost culture." He stated. "I wish to assist the agents, but as I am not exactly part of the bureau and I'm simply a consultant, my request has gone unheeded." Deceit was coming too easily to the prince this night, he wondered if the girl suspected he himself was the threat.

He did not know if worry or keep the controlover herself as her brother taught her but if Nuadawas right and Desmond was facing something bigger than himself? . The frustration of not knowing what was going to happen to herbrother grew immeasurably. Nadia rubbed his arm lightly and looked down trying to keep calm but the concern began to be visible on her rosy face, which became sad minute after minute.
Nadia shook for a moment, the air seemed increasingly chilly as night fell. Hearing his words she realized that something was wrong, her beautiful face winced "I'm not sure ... but my brother was informing on a strange artifact ... a piece of gold. He started a few weeks ago and since then has become increasingly nervous, seemed really worried ... but hasn't told me why, he did not with anyone. ... I know this because ... " Nadia hid her look almost ashamed of having to explain what probably would have scared anyone but hoped that the other had a bit of a pity to not look at her like a monster "I've a special bond with my brother ... I can hear what he thinks and even talk to him telepathically but I still don't know how to control this ... well this power. ... But he knows how to read the mind of anyone "Nadia heard his warning and turned pale and worried worse than before " My brother is looking for a piece of a crown ... he thinks that who who wants to take it is more in danger than the others and wants to stop him but he wants to do it alone ... maybe because if the boureau will be aware of it something terrible would happen "trusting him Nadia could not be sure of the choince just done , but was the only one .
Nadia took a step closer toward him, her little hand touched the chest of the other, the woman lifted her frightened face at his. "Please Nuada ... my brother is everything I've .. .. if something is going to happen, something that might put him in danger, please save his life. I know that I can not ask you so much or to do that for me ... But if you're his friend ... help him "her blue eyes looked straight into his one and her worried face was pale for the fear, but looking into his eyes felt that something was buried under a blanket of darkness ... yet, Nadia saw the good in him.

Nuada observed the woman quietly. She seemed to be struggling with some form of internal dialogue, and judging by the expression that played at her face, Nuada assumed that she was possibly even frustrated. The nervous gesture of grazing her arm with her hand, and shifting her eyes toward the ground, coupled her frustration with a mixed concern. The prince, not accustomed to feeling for ignorant humans, almost felt sympathy for the woman who appeared disheartened.
The night was still, the glow from the moonlight embracing the strange meeting between elf and man. The plan had worked without fail thus far, as the girl winced in discontent. She mentioned that her brother had been seeking information on an artifact. A gold one. Nuada had drawn his own conclusions about what this object might be, and he suspected it was the same missing artifact that he himself had been seeking: The missing crown piece of Bethmoora. The way that she described her brother, hinted in that he might have become slightly obsessed with the piece, but for what? The man he had been puzzled by near the Brooklyn Bridge did not appear to be greedy, regardless of his species. Why would a human be interested in a crown piece that mankind had long forgotten, until now?
The next bit of sacrificed information stunned the prince as he weighed the possibility. She had a bond with her brother, telepathically, was this similar to his bind with himself and his sister? If he harmed Nadia, would he too be pierced? Nuada surveyed the girls features with a sense of morbid curiosity. "This does not endanger you? This link you have to your brother?" He wondered gently. "Is it no more than a thought process?" He wondered how much she all ready knew because of this link. This connection. Would this telepathic bind foil his plans? She mentioned, however, much to the princes relief that she could not control the ability. So there was a chance that she didn't know as much as he had feared. Further captivating his attention was that this alien-human. This Desmond, and this Nadia, both acquired strange abilities. Was it true that the gentleman could read minds, and how could one tell when their thoughts had been invaded? For now, he pushed the concerns out of the reach of his mind.
Nadia confirmed his suspicion, however, by mentioning a crown piece, accompanied by the belief of her brother: That the seeker was a threat, and must be intercepted. Well, Nuada had just the plan to foil any ideas the agent might have conceived... Tooth fairies, he thought to himself briefly. A nuisance that would ward off even the B.P.R.D. and destroy any witness who might have seen him once his goals were accomplished.
While he was plotting he wore a sincerely concerned face. The face must have been passable because the woman touched his chest, and requested his help. Nuada nodded slowly. "It will be dangerous, but for Desmond, anything." He half lied. Protecting humans wasn't his goal by any means, and he was certain Desmond could fend for himself, though he would keep an eye on him, for now.

Looking hopeful at the ocher eyes of the other hoped to have made the right choice but needed to talk to Desmond now. He was exaggerating keeping her far from his life up to that point. She smiled faintly with a hint of tenderness, "No, my brother and I have a telepathic bond non-physical" quietly announced "Desmond is much more capable than me ... I try to avoid having any involvement with this power ". Nadia hid the discomfort in her look for a moment "It's hard not to be like you appaear before the eyes of the others, is a burden heavy enough to endure the scared looks of anyone learns of this power. I'm surprised you didn't the same ... but thanks, it's good not to see that look once in a while"smiled with gratitude.
Nadia looked at him closely and maybe was staring a little too much but was so fascinated by his appearance, blinked at the sight of his slightly pointed ears "You're an elf?" She asked with a slight doubt in the voice and with a little fear of having dared to ask "My brother does not want I read the Boureau files about the troll market , but I read about a clan of elves living not so far from there... I thought were just fairy tales for children .." admitted with embarrassment "You belong to this clan?"
She was so relieved at the thought that someone was caring for Desmond, Manning was literally turning his back on anyone to get more power and confidence from the government, many of them felt alone inside and outside the Boureau. The big blue eyes did not hide the gratitude once more "I thought that brave men belonged to tales too .. apparently I wrong twice"
