Date: November 6, 2008 Location: New Jersey Library Open A gentle sigh left Agent Vallo's lips as she sat her kitten Christmas down on her bed and gave her an extra pat. She smiled gently down at her before grabbing her black trench coat and slipping it over her shoulders. She really did love her new kitten and didn't want to leave her, but she figured she should go out and take a walk around New Jersey, to get a feel for it. It would also help pass the time because she didn't have an assignment today. It was her first week at the Bureau and so far it wasn't too bad, she was actually getting used to it. Everyone seemed welcoming though there was a few that she hadn't met yet.
Her canary chirped and broke TJ from her little trance as she walked over to Portho's gold antique cage and whistled at him. The bird chirped again and TJ laughed, putting her index finger between the cage and gently petting the bird on top of the head. Her head turned as she looked in the mirror, fixing her dark brown bobbed cut wig, moving some of the bangs out of her face a little. Her top was a regular black t-shirt, dark blue boot cut jeans, and black Converse chucks. It was a little different then what she generally wore but she felt like dressing different today.
Her shoes squeaked on the floor as she swiftly walked out of her room and shut the door. It wasn't long before she was out of the building and soon on her way into the heart of New Jersey. TJ decided to take a bus to her destinations so she could get the real feel of New Jersey. Her head moved about as she looked at all the buildings, cross walks, shops, and people walking the streets. Her warm brown eyes landed on the library and a small smile fell on her face. Checking out the local library was always a good idea.
Tinsel's body moved as she jogged across the street and quickly walked up the steps of the library. Warm air hit her body and the smell of books soon filled her nose. She stopped at the door way for a moment, unsure where to go, and figured she should just browse. Her long legs moved as she first made her way to the fiction, not finding anything of interest, until her eyes fell on the word mythology. A small smile fell on her lips as she gently slid the book out of its place and began to flip through the pages.
Her ears soon picked up the sound of footsteps, but her eyes didn't look up as she was too engrossed in the book.

Post by THOMAS MANNING on Jul 13, 2011 5:03:52 GMT 1
It wasn't every day that Thomas could escape the confines of the BPRD building and enjoy regular things. You know, the things that normal people did. Things that weren't handling Hellboy, or talking to giant blue fish. It wasn't that he disliked his job, oh no, it was that it was a high stress work environment with the off chance of being spontaneously blown to ashes by another agent of the bureau. So today, one of his very few days out of the hostile work environment, would be the day he would not have to see any other agent. Not one... Except Tinsel. Sighing he shook his head, giving up the hope of ever having a day away from work. Though, given the circumstances, his company could be a lot worse: It could be a giant, red, man-eating ape known as Hellboy. Tugging at his collar he stopped behind the woman. "Tinsel, is it?" He asked, wishing to confirm his suspicion. Of course this was a big city, there was always the chance that he had stumbled across someone who greatly resembled her. After all, the outfit she was wearing was not anything he'd seen around the Bureau before. She seemed to be deeply engrossed in her reading material, though Manning was unable to identify what exactly the subject was from where he was standing. "What a coincidence. May I join you?" He asked upon recognizing the girl. It was uncommon to have an off chance meeting with another agent, especially out in the open like this. Not to mention it would prove entirely socially unacceptable to brush off an acquaintance from work when crossing with a chance to actually speak to them. With the stress of the work environment effecting everyone, Manning simply desired some peace and quiet. The library seemed satisfactory enough for this purpose, but as it was his day off, he was quite content with sharing the day with a colleague. OOC: Wow I'm rusty, and tired and should have waited until morning, but I thought it would be fun to plot with you. ^_^. Sorry if any of this is repetitive/annoying/etc, I'll re-read/alter it once I wake.

Her eyes shot up as she heard her name. Her wide eyes searched the face of the man who spoke to her. It was obviously Manning and she should have known from the tone and just the voice in general. "Yes it is, why hello Mr.Manning"
she spoke gently as she closed the Greek Mythology book she was reading. Her hand moved as she kept the book close to her and stood up more straight. "Why of course Sir, I'm sorry if this seems strange but I don't have an assignment today and I was just trying to get a feel for New Jersey" she spoke gently, yet quickly, as she tried to explain herself and her actions. Her rust colored eyes quickly looked down at the book to which she hugged close to her side, she hoped it would give her answers. Though it was highly unlikely and just educate her on her distant relative some. Though Tinsel was kind to Manning she couldn't help but be a little sore with him. When she joined the Bureau after transferring from the CIA where she happily got the dress up and play a part, be a different person. It let her forget about her ability for a little while. Here, she had been tested constantly to the point of fatigue, needing the adrenaline in most cases to produce the poison from her lips. She didn't know this was going to happen, but she didn't have to accept the transfer and here she didn't have to hide her ability from others, in the building that is. Her body moved as she walked towards an empty table and took a sit, placing the book delicately in front of her on the table. "What brings you out here Sir?" she asked curiously as her light rust eyes watched him.
