Not a plot page exactly. More like an announcement and recruitment thread for big threads I want to do. This thread will encompass ALL my characters (Ludmila, Carl and Anastasia).
And now, for the delicious cake.
"Into the Unknown" thread series:
A big series of big threads that will start with the Congo thread. What's the Congo thread about you may ask? Well, it's about finding this guy.
The Bureau is contacted by the Smithsonian, who want to set up and expedition into the Congo Basin to try and find evidence of Mokele Mbembe's existence. The region they want to explore is unstable though, and is inhabited by several war bands who prey on the local population.
So the Smithsonian people want the Bureau to give them a hand both in searching for the beast as well as fighting off any hostile war bands. They recruit a few Bureau agents (those most experienced in combat) and a mercenary (Lucy Bishop), and set out for the Congo Basin. They travel up river for a few days before disembarking and entering the jungle.
Once they're in the jungle, they are ambushed by a war band and all the scientists are killed. The survivors then decide to find Mokele Mbembe and possibly shoot one to bring back as evidence.
And now, for the recruitment. Ludmila and Lucy are in on it already (Lucy being my co-plotter on this), and we want two or three Bureau agents.
Post here and we'll consider including you in the thread. However, we want to keep things organised and tight, so we won't be able to take everyone on board.
Note: this is the first of a series of threads that will lead us around the world in search of Hyperborea. So if you sign up, you should also consider being a part of the subsequent threads. It also helps to read the "Aeon's Witness" thread as it ties in with the whole thing.
