HELLBOY
"Geez, there always gotta to be dreadful looking people in this city. Get a job and stop cutting your wrists already. Life ain't that bad. I'm from hell for crying out loud," a heavy voice echoed in the dark. This voice was accompanied by the sound of liquid being funneled out of a bottle into someone's mouth.
Places like this always attracted the weirdest people. There definitely wasn't a lack of questionable characters around here. However, tonight, this place would get a visitor like no other. At least, not like anything these grounds had ever seen. Why in the hell would such an oddity show its face here? Hellboy was the type to always be a thorn in the side of secrecy. He never liked to stay where he was supposed to stay. Therefore, public viewing was plentiful for this guy. On top of him leaving BPRD headquarters he didn't even show himself to be a role model by having a bottle of rum with him.
"I don't get it. You know, you save the world a bajillion times and you think that would give you the right, to, uh-" He stopped to burp. "To uh do whatcha want every now and then," the creature said to itself. A hulking red monster of a man came out of the shadows wearing a yellow jacket. Apparently, public drunkenness wasn't a crime where he came from. As he staggered through the streets people started staring. Most couldn't believe what they were seeing. The time was two in the morning. The few that were up wouldn't be enough to convince the world that a big red demon existed.
Hellboy shouldn't have been walking the streets alone. Even at this time of night he would draw the wrong kind of attention. The "ladies of the night" made offers towards him proving how far they had fallen to make such passes as a man they didn't even know. Then again, it was dark so none of them actually got a good look at him. Once one of the prostitutes got a glance of whom she was offering her services to there was a loud scream erupting from her mouth. The shouting of, "oh my god it's a monster!" followed by the running steps of high heels was the final conclusion of the meeting of demon and hooker.
"Let me guess...OH MY GOD! HOLY SHIT! AHHH! REAL MONSTERS! The power of CHRIST COMPELS YOU! Begone thy Satan! Let the cleansing begin! Jesus, be a fence against this foul creature from the deep! BACK FOUL THING! YOU SHALL NOT PASS! Come on Mr. Frodo! We must return the one ring! NOOOO! Smeagol wants it! Smeagol wants the precious! Yeah, yeah, yeah, heard it all. Go ahead sugar lips, get it all out. Go ahead and be shocked. Sheesh..." Hellboy said as an introduction. Red started laughing. He was amusing himself because he found himself to be hilarious. He collapsed onto a bus stop bench and laid down on his side. That bottle was getting empty. Of course, that didn't matter because this was his tenth bottle...

The clicking of pumps could be heard as Tinsel made her way out of the movie theater, catching a late showing of a Bond flick, Octopussy to be exact. Stuffing her long hands into the pockets of her black leather jacket, Tinsel moved her shoulders up, trying to stay warm. It was currently two in the morning and TJ was roaming the streets of New Jersey. She, herself was being a little naughty too, staying out very late instead of being at the Bureau. But hey it was James Bond, like she was going to miss it and besides it wasn't like she was on the roster for anything tomorrow. That she knew of. She still had to get a feel for New Jersey and check it out more, still needing to get comfortable with it. She had never been here before so she was of course going to take a look around.
Tinsel sighed heavily as she made her way to the bus stop, considering she got down here by that. She wasn't sure if a bus was actually going to be coming out this late and she probably should have checked but oh well. A few screams made her stop dead in her tracks as she looked around to hear a few woman screaming monster and running, followed by a bellowing of random sentences and clanking of glass. Her eye brow arched a little as she soon took in a deep breath "Oh great.."
she spoke with a hint of nervousness in her voice. Her hands left her pockets as she put them at her sides, ready to grab her gun if she needed it. Cautiously, Tinsel turned the corner and saw a huge red mass laying on the bus bench. Tinsel squinted her eyes and tilted her head as she tried to figure out exactly what she was seeing, her steps grew slower with each inch. Biting her bottom lip she was able to make out that it was some sort of man in a trench coat. "Uhhh" was all that was able to come out of her mouth as she stopped infront of him and stared down at him. The shy girl, swallowed harshly and gently reached out to him about to tap him, but soon decided against it. "H-Hellboy?" she asked more of a question to make sure it was him. She had heard his name around the Bureau, and saw the conspiracies on TV. But she of course didn't have the pleasure of meeting the fellow yet. Her attire was that of a worn black leather jacket, a pair of bootcut jeans, black open-toed pumps, a black t-shirt with The Rolling Stones logo on it and a green scarf wrapped around her neck. This time Tinsel decided to leave her dark chocolate hair down. Her hand reached up as she gently brushed some of her side bangs out of her face. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

HELLBOY
And of course having an agent coming along certainly wasn't going to do anything for Hellboy's temper. He didn't like most agents. That was why he gave the newer personnel a really hard time. If the agent that Hellboy was talking to or talked to him was a brand new face fresh off the recruiting paperwork one had better believe they were going to get the worst version of him. That was why he pretended like this woman was nothing more than a fly on a wall, a piece of brown banana shaped fecal matter in a toilet or even a chameleon camouflaging itself to water. He didn't even look at her. Red knew she was an agent just because of her smell.
"I can't believe this. No, seriously, can't believe it at all. Shit! When's a man supposed to get a rest? I've been alive for a really long time. That's a long time to fight monsters and she thinks I need practice? Practice?" he asked himself. Hellboy sat up in the bench into a sitting position with his back laying against a Viagra ad. He looked to his left and to his right with a confused look on his face and then chuckled to himself. "Practice? I know what the hell Allen Iverson was talking about now. Practice? Can she even count the amount of monsters I kill on the average month? Can she even began to fathom the amount of dangerous situations where I come out on top? Isn't that enough to say that I don't need no goddamn practice?!"
Hellboy's reference to practice was him talking about how Liz wanted him to show up to a training session with her. He didn't think that he needed to go due to the fact that he was Hellboy and widely regarded within the ranks of the BPRD as the greatest paranormal investigator the world had ever known. The man was a surgeon when it came to making evilness unwillingly expire. While he understood her reasons for wanting him there Red thought she was trying to criticize his job performance for even requesting his presence at the training event. However, Hellboy couldn't blame Liz or the fact that he lied to her and didn't show up to a training session for the recent problems the two of them were having. More and more Liz became distant from him.
Finally, he acknowledged the new agent who he hadn't met before. His eyes looked her up and down. Some women could have taken such staring as a man leering them. That just wasn't the case. Hellboy only had eyes for Liz Sherman; period. He liked to look people up and down because he liked to examine them. While she had the smell of what he called home she could very well be someone that was out to get him. There were certainly a lot of people, creatures and deities that wanted this man dead.
"How long you been with the bureau? Hope it wasn't long. You don't look like an agent. You look like an extra from a MTV music video," he said, trying to shoot an insult. That sort of treatment was apart of Hellboy's initial treatment of every new agent. Those words were apart of an inside joke since Hellboy believed that MTV didn't play music videos. He was trying to call this woman a joke within a joke. He took another look at her and laughed. "Look strawberry shortcake you need to go home, play with your dollies and leave this kinda work to professionals. Tyra Banks might think you're America's next top model. But I don't think you're America's next top agent. You're a weak link. Goodbye," he said before laying back down on the bench.

Her eyes squinted yet again as she looked at him in confusion. Talking to himself, about practice? He was obviously complaining about someone and she was just trying to keep up. Her hands soon found themselves back in her leather jacket pockets as she waited for him to stop saying whatever he had to get off of his chest. She had nothing to say and she wouldn't even begin to know what to say because in all honesty it wasn't any of her business. She just shifted her weight from one side to the other, the shoes were beginning to hurt her feet.
Her head moved as she looked back at him straight on, finally as he decided to let her know that he knew she was there, he looked her over. She was a little uncomfortable at first but she figured that it was nothing sexual, he just wanted to see who was talking to him. Then he asked her something and she went to answer him, only to hear him talk about the way she was dressed rudely. She could only guess it was rude by the way his tone was and the fact that she didn't like the girls on MTV. This of course wasn't going to ruffle her feathers, Tinsel hardly got upset and if she did, it had to be for a very good reason. He caused her to have her warm brown eyes look down at her outfit then back at him. Before she knew it, he was talking again, basically mocking her.
A heavy sigh left her lips as she moved her body and sat down next to him on the bench, not close, but she tried to make do with the room she was given. Her leg moved as she crossed it over her other, and still kept her hands in her pockets. "Can I talk now..."
she spoke gently as it was more then a statement rather then a question. When she went to take a breath before explaining, she could smell the alcohol on him. However this oddly didn't bother her, she never drank that much but she did drink. So she was used to the smell. Though what was coming off of him was rather pungent. "Well I have only been at the Bureau for about...a week and I'm sorry that you saw me in my street clothes, I don't dress like I'm gunna kick some ass everywhere I go. And the MTV music video bit? I'm pretty sure I have more clothes on then those women do", she spoke lightly but couldn't help but smirk at the last part of her statement. "Look Clifford" she decided to call him a cartoon character as well, Clifford the Big Red Dog to be exact. "I'm sorry that I don't have a lot of experience in this field under my belt, ya know we all don't start out like the great fantastic Hellboy, but I did work in the CIA for a few years before they recruited me" she spoke with a hint of sarcasm, as she called him great and fantastic. Tinsel still wasn't angry, he would have known if she was angry, but the hint of sarcasm showed that he was pushing her buttons just a little. Another sigh left her lips as she began to relax, "I'm not a little girl, I haven't played with dolls since I was twelve and I'm sorry but who is Tyra Banks?" she asked as she really didn't watch TV. Her body quickly moved as he began to lay down, she jumped up and turned around quickly. "I'm the weakest link?" she asked in confusion as her warm brown with rust colored eyes looked down at him through thick lashes. Now she was getting just a little agitated. "I think you're the weakest link sometimes, from what I heard you seem to think very highly of yourself and don't really like to work as a team, doing it all by yourself. Now I know that yeah, you did and do kill a lot of monsters, hey that's awesome, but going up against something by yourself. You could get hurt, even killed...maybe...and then what will the B.P.R.D do?", she asked with an arched eyebrow. Poor TJ was still trying to keep her cool and taking breaks talking to him rather then talking to him all at once seemed to be working. To make sure, TJ reached up and gently rubbed her fingertips on her lip to make sure nothing was coming out, and nothing was. She put her hand back in her pocket and continued to look down at him. With a sigh she replied "Now I heard you give new agents a hard time, but, you are obviously drunk and scaring civilians so I am not leaving you alone" she spoke rather firmly. HELLBOY
Red didn't pay much attention to any point this woman was making. For the most part he didn't even make eye contact with her. This was the same strategy he took with Liz. He believed that if one didn't make eye contact with a woman then said woman will not feel the impulse to argue no matter what a man may say to her. Of course, he was horribly wrong about that way of thinking because very seldom did it work. But Hellboy was stubborn.
"Right, team, mmkay sweetheart. Tell me, who killed demons, trolls, frog monsters and succubus chicks just to name a few on their own? Oh, who did that? I just want to hear it. Come on, whisper it into my ear. It'll make me feel all giddy inside," he said. Hellboy put his hand behind his ear as if he wanted to prop his ear up so that he could hear an answer out of the agent. He didn't allow her to answer. Instead, he began talking again. "That was me. That was me you senseless bimbo with stick figure arms. People like you sicken me. You probably got this job because the person interviewing you could easily see the advantage of having you around. Tell me, just how many knee pads did they issue you? Ten? Twenty?" he asked. He was trying to suggest that she only got hired on with the bureau due to her looks.
Red laughed at her. He didn't think she would stand a chance doing what he did for a day. Then again, most agents weren't cut out to deal with monsters. If they were Hellboy would be out of a job. Humans couldn't fight what he fought. The fact that he was a monster hunter and very good at hunting monsters was what gave him the authority to judge others wanting to get into his trade. From what he saw in this woman there was no agent that could have been made out of her. If she couldn't take Hellboy's criticism he didn't believe she could make it out on the field.
"You know, there was once a jester demon who teased and taunted me for hours on end. I couldn't stand it. That's why you won't make it. I can get upset but then again I can also fight the monsters. You can't. Go home. You aren't cut out for this kid. Or you can stay and get yourself killed. Doesn't make me a bit of difference. It's your life," he pointed out. The one thing he didn't say to her was that he said the same thing about every agent. He didn't even believe normal humans should have been apart of the agency. Hellboy got himself beaten up, sliced up and shot before because he tried to save agents out in the field. So, in some ways, he thought of the human agents with the exception of a few to be a liability more so than a help. He didn't like a hindrance.
Red sighed. He shook his head. He wished that he could pick the new recruits. "Look Katy Perry. I've been doing this job before you were a sperm cell. So don't you dare tell me I'm a weak link. I have fought things you couldn't imagine. I've seen things you couldn't imagine. The day I let some girls gone wild extra tell me how to do my damn job is the day that I become a sugar plum fairy. Get...lost..." he said. Him saying that was more of a warning than a request. He grew tired of her.

Another heavy sigh left TJ's lips as she heard him. Boy was this man being stubborn, it probably didn't help that he was drinking too."I know you did, but probably because you wouldn't let anyone help you"
she spoke rather harshly. He was really irritating her, she had to admit. His next statement, however, crossed the line. "Oh yeah? Really? On what grounds do you get to be such a dick, you don't even know me and just because you have been doing this longer you automatically assume I can't do it?" she was obviously really upset. TJ's body stayed still, her hands were crossed over her chest and she just shook her head as she listened to him. But she didn't meet his gaze, she just looked down at her feet. She didn't even have a response for his next statement except "Yeah well I'm staying" and it was actually a rather quiet response. "I didn't mean you were a weak link in that sense..." she spoke as she grew silent. "Yeah I'm outta here" she spoke as she turned around and stuffed her hands in her pockets. Someone else at the B.P.R.D. could deal with him. Her shoes made a harsh sound as they crunched into the gravel and she made her way to another bus stop. OCC: I'm guessing this is the end lol [/blockquote][/blockquote]
