There has always been an unnerving sense that there was a world that was just beyond the edge of sight. Now mankind is being threatened by a world beyond humanities understanding. The world of demons, and humans last defense is the one organization that officially does not exist: their governments best kept secret, the B.P.R.D., also known as the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Development. This organization houses some of the most unusual and talented people, and are responsible for responding when the night goes bump.
The secret of non-human existence has been protected by the BPRD, and the mythological beings remain hidden from human eyes. The demons have launched a seemingly unnoticed biological war upon the humans through their blood bank known as AB Syndicate. In secret, they have kidnapped and abducted both human and mythological lab rats to first test their products on. While the Angels stationed with Opus Dei's underground organization work to counter the demons that entered the Earthly plains through Rasputin's portal many years ago.
Despite the angels valiant attempts to conquer the demons and convert them to normal humans once more, Ab Syndicate is prepared for them. With new weaponry research, and their supernatural abilities, there is no hope for Opus Dei to strike. Opus Dei has joined arms with the BPRD to put a stop to the corruption known as AB Syndicate.
However, the demons are not alone in their desire to destroy mankind. There is another force who shares the ambition. The force of Nuada Silverlance, who has returned to his people, from his exile, in their time of need. His ambitions to destroy mankind, and reclaim the earth for elves was momentarilly stalled by the actions taken against his people by AB Syndicate. Grudgingly joining arms with the BPRD to eliminate a common enemy, Nuada is planning to wipe-out mankind once the demons are defeated.
It's the year 2008, and the world is at war.
