A world made up of three distinct species. The Psy, humans with psychic abilities of varying degrees. The Changelings, humans born with the ability to shift into animal form. The Humans, straddling the line between the two and uniting the world.
A world of change, the Psy pull away from their more human tendencies by subscribing to The Silence, removing all emotions from birth. For one hundred years they have lived this way. All deals being done with ruthless logic. From the business dealings, to the creation of offspring. They are the controlling force in the world. Owning the most powerful businesses world wide, as well as being the strongest political force on the planet.
A world divided. Humans are in constant fear of Psy and their ruthless business practices. Changelings too have pulled away from humans and live and work separately whenever possible. Their territories marked and well known to other Changelings and to humans.
A world in chaos. Emotions can not be destroyed, only removed. The Psy Web, that supports and connects the minds of every Psy on the planet was slowly infected by these removed emotions and the DarkMind now made up of these dark emotions stalks the Psy on their own mental pathways. Changeling and Human alike know that something has changed. Those Psy that chose to leave their own kind and go into hiding over a hundred years ago never experienced The Silence. They have remained hidden all this time, Forgotten. Their bloodlines have been weakened, but these humans with smaller psychic abilities are being sought. Not just by the other Forgotten to protect and help them, but by the Psy Council.
A new world, is being made. No one will be immune to it. Changeling, Human, Forgotten and even Psy are finding they must broaden their horizons, take a leap of faith, and trust each other. Emotions are the cornerstone of what makes us human. Whether Changeling or Psy. Now all must learn to deal with emotions long buried, destructive, and creative. Finding that balance will save them all.
